Julian Thomas Brown

Our little bundle of joy arrived on March 8 at 9:48 AM. He couldn't wait for the scheduled C on March 10, he wanted to see what the world has to offer. Before I give all the details, let me just say. "Women are superheros" Sybil gave birth to the little guy with no drugs, no epidural, no nothing. She wanted drugs, but the train had already left the station. I have a greater appreciation for women and most of all my wife. She is absolutely amazing, she can have a baby for me any day...... Ok, here are the details:

Hospital Arrival 8:55 AM
Water Broke 9:00 AM
Request drugs 9:06 AM - request denied
Nurse checks 9:10 AM - Nurse Comments "I see a head of hair"

Side note, at this point, reality hit, we are having a baby and it won't be a C-Section. Dad has to stop crying and be a man. I grab my box of Kleenex and chase Sybil and the nurses to the birthing room.

Idle time 9:11- 9:30 - I may have passed out, but don't remember.
Ready to push 9:31 AM -
Side note, several births were going on at the exact same time. One doctor was inbound (Can't deliver a baby via cell phone) Other 2 doctors were in the Operating Room for a C-Section. Lee our Nurse sends out a APB, "if he doesn't come, I'm going to deliver Sybils Baby."

Doctors Arrive 9:40 - You ask for 1 doctor you get 2, hope BCN doesn't get charged double.

Sybil push 1 9:44 - I can see the head of hair....
Sybil push 2 9:48 - Bundle of joy says "Hello World"

At this point, I had run out of Kleenex, so the nurse tosses me a towel and says clean up. I cut the cord with some really dull scissors. We thank everyone and Julian starts singing his ABC's....Just kidding.

The vital states are:

6 pounds 5.2 Ounces
19 Inches

Formal Name
Julian Thomas Brown - Nickname (J.T.)

Thank you all for your well wishes and when you get a chance, stop by to see the little guy. Sybil and Julian are doing great and Miles is loving the big brother role. If you can't stop by, no worries, you can check out my boys starting in the backcourt for the Novi High School Basketball team in 14 years.
